Li Jianghu is an almost totally blind boy from a poor family who graduated from Chongqing School for the Blind. Katie sponsored him for a couple of years before he graduated from the school. After his graduation, he was able to enter Changchun University to do advance study in massage. Katie kept in contact with him. He became a family member and has been growing. Recently, his eyes experience pain. When he saw an eye doctor, he was told that his eyes are operable. However, it would be very expensive and there would be a chance even to gain some vision back.
The sponsorship committee got together to pray for Jianghu. PTL, God provided Doctor Chin from ECC to help. Doctor Chin has been going to China to provide free eye operation for many years. He has agreed to examine him in mid October, 2008 in Xichang, Sichuan. Jianghu did not even have the means to take this trip from Changchun to Xichang. Out of her love and care for this boy, Katie has kindly provided the fund for his trip.
Doctor Chin said that we should set Jianghu's expectation. There is no telling that operation can be done or when. Please pray for his trip safety, all the logistics involved, the examination and what will happen afterward including how he would catch up with his school work. We rely totally on God and only on Him. If He is willing, He can make Jianghu see.
Dare to pray! Dare to ask! Dare to trust!
Psalm 121
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Bosco & Gloria's Presence
Hi Bosco and Gloria
I'm typing you this email from your wonderful home. I nowadays try to come here to work with Trix every Wednesday. PTL it's alot more convenient. And like Trix said, there is more of a sense of community here. Bonnie and Raymond are near by. Mercer Island is in the middle of many places. I have a feeling that we are going to have din din here a lot just like good old days when you are around. Well, I think that has a lot to do with the sense of community legacy you have built up here. Just sitting here, I can feel your presence. Yes, I am indeed sitting in the same seat I always sit in. May you bring that same sense of community to NN and many other places.
Love, P
